Petition to Remove Obscene, Inappropriate, Political, and Controversial Teaching Materials From the Curriculum That's in Opposition of School Policy, State, Federal Law, and the U.S. Constitution
On May 17, 2021, it was reported that the Wicomico County Board of Education has been continuing to use obscene books in our schools, and read by students as young as age 11 in 6th grade. If you did not read the report, you can read it here.
This is not an issue of censorship, but the violation of existing school policy, state, federal, and Constitutional laws that define the boundaries of appropriateness. At this time, the Wicomico County Board of Education, the Superintendent, and its Administration are clearly violating their own policy and the law. When brought to their attention on numerous occasions, they continually fail to acknowledge the concerns of the parents and choose to remain on the path of blatant negligence, while having no regard for the law.
We demand that the Wicomico County Board of Education do their job and take the trash out of our schools!
Wicomico County Public Schools are:
-
Using Obscene and sexually-explicit books in our schools.
-
Politically indoctrinating students with a Socialist-Marxist agenda in its curriculum through Forced Assimilation.
-
Politically profiling our students to discover their private beliefs and values of their family.
-
Discriminating and segregating students by their color in the name of Equity.
-
Using school-issued laptops as a mechanism to push subversive curriculum and to circumvent parent involvement.
The school system should focus on neutrally teaching the basics of English, Math, Science, and unaltered History, and return to paper and pencil in the classroom for an optimum learning environment.
If you agree that the WCBOE should take out the trash, please sign the petition below. You do not have to have a child in Wicomico County Public Schools - All Wicomico residents & taxpayers can sign.
