Worcester County Teacher Allowed to Return After Alleged Hateful Remarks

During September, a Worcester County Public Schools STEM teacher who teaches at Worcester Technical High School allegedly made a hateful facebook post in response to Charlie Kirk's assassination, claiming that Trump is a pedophile, all of his supporters (including Charlie Kirk) are pedophile supporters, and all deserve death.

In response to several complaints from parents and members of the community, the teacher was put on administrative leave. At the beginning of October, the Superintendent has since allowed the teacher to return.
Since the district uses restorative practices, the students were required to enter a restorative circle to have an open discussion with the teacher. It remains unclear who facilitated the circle.
The mere act for administration to place children in an uncomfortably-awkward position to face an adult that wished death upon some of them was not only willfully negligent by the school district, but could be perceived as child abuse and endangerment using social-emotional manipulation by requiring students to accept and affirm him.
For those who are not familiar with restorative practices, we strongly urge you to read our past article: Why School "Restorative Practices" Are Destructive
As a result of the district’s decision, some questions remain:
Should this teacher be around children or near any school?
Why was this teacher allowed to return when he wishes death upon the majority of Americans?
How do you think minor students will feel knowing that their teacher might want to kill them for their beliefs?
Do you think students will feel welcome and inclusive at school knowing that they cannot express their viewpoints for fear of teacher retaliation, discrimination, or for their own life?
Where is the Worcester County Sherriff on this matter?
Was this teacher arrested?
What would have happened if a student, parent, or community member made the same threat? Would they have been allowed to return to school property or would they have been arrested?
There’s obviously partiality at play and unequal application of the law.
With all of these unanswered questions, one can only wonder:
Are citizens being endangered because of a reckless decision by the superintendent?
In looking at the timeline of his return, it is suspected that the decision to terminate him was never the intention of the superintendent of Worcester County Public Schools. The teacher was simply put on administrative leave as an illusion of action. It is alleged that a delay tactic was used to strategically return the teacher after September 30th .
Why after September 30th? If he returned prior to October, the district risked losing their per-pupil funding if parents removed their children from school in response to his return. By returning him in October, the district would receive full funding if the parents decided to pull their children from enrollment.
The superintendent has made many past statements about “vulnerable populations.” Ironically, she just systematically created one. By continuing to employ an adult who has expressed and promoted hateful and dangerous thoughts about harming the majority of Worcester County Citizens who voted for Trump, this administrative decision not only endangers citizens, but creates a huge liability for Worcester County.
