Talbot County Democrats Are Having a Desperate Meltdown Over School Board Candidates
The liberal Democrats and their left‑wing partner news outlets rarely, if ever, provide exhibits to support their claims or the truth when it comes to reporting. Many of their followers don’t bother to read or fact‑check. Living in their own microwave society of instant gratification, many lack self-control, deep thought, or a desire for unbiased research. Feelings are put before facts. It comes down to pacification: if they can feel justified in their beliefs and actions, then twisting the truth or reporting falsehoods to deceive others becomes an acceptable practice, for as long as it provides satisfaction and attention.
When a baby cries, you can put a pacifier in their mouth.
Sadly, Democrats will stoop to any level to achieve their desired outcome.
Local school board races are supposed to be non-partisan and about student growth and education.
However, from the Democrat Party's paid ad, one thing is certain: nothing on this flyer addresses the failure of Talbot County students where approximately 80% of all public school students cannot do math at their grade level.
Had the DNC posted that fact, people would be concerned.
But this flyer attacks Somerset County, which had a new school board elected last year. The Board was targeted by the same liberals and their proxies for trying to uncover WHY students are failing.
What can be found is clear: the Maryland Teachers' Union and Maryland Democrats would go so far as to try to hide the real causes of student ignorance: political indoctrination and deception.
They didn't tell you that a candidate for the Talbot County school board is a retired teacher who they canceled and denied him an opportunity to teach as a substitute.
The same goes for Jan Greenhawk, who is another Talbot County retired school teacher who has been attacked and harassed for simply exercising her First Amendment right to be a member of Moms for Liberty- a non profit and non partisan organization unlike the DNC.
The Talbot County Democrats, along with other county Democrats, are very scared. So much so that they publish propaganda with assertions, without any supporting evidence.
In this case, they even include deceptive references by name to make the claims look legitimate, yet fail to show which law was violated or provide any documents to support their claims.
But none of that matters, as long as they look legit.
There are many false claims and spin about the Somerset County Board of Education.
Legal Fees for Board Chair — FALSE. $300,000 was NOT allocated for the legal defense of the Board Chair. This is the Board’s overall annual legal budget, which covers the following: the Board attorney, a different attorney that handles special education cases, a different attorney that handles individual representation for Board members in their official capacity (if sued individually), litigation, arbitration, mediation, appeals, MPIA reviews, individual representation for the Superintendent, policy review, contracts, MOUs, and court filing fees.
State Found Due Process Violated — UNCERTAIN. Which due process was violated? Did the Board of Education cut a tag from a mattress? Usually, if a compliance issue is discovered by a state organization, a district is notified with a recommendation to take corrective action.
10.5 Million in State Funding Put at Risk — FALSE. No funding was ever put at risk. The issue involved a federal grant that required state verification of the district’s curriculum (HMH) in order to complete the grant application.
Hired Lawyers in Secret / Broke State Law — FALSE. Lawyers were legally engaged by the Board, and no laws were violated. If any laws had been broken, those attorneys would not be working there today.
Parents removed from meeting— FALSE. An agitator was removed for disturbing the peace.
Library Policy Frozen by the State— TRUE. A 60-day stay was placed on Somerset's Media Selection Policy 500-19 by the State Superintendent for legal review. Nothing was determined to be wrong with the policy. A complaint was filed, and the MSDE is simply reviewing the policy to make sure it is aligned with the Maryland's Freedom to Read Act, the MD Education Article, and federal law.
Sued by the ACLU for hidden records— TRUE. Anyone can make an accusation. Just because a lawsuit is filed, it does not mean it is true or has any legal standing. Once the facts come out, a court will then make a determination. Until then, it's a moot point.
7 Complaints to Remove the Board Chair— TRUE. What does this mean in a county with a population of 25,000 citizens?
All of this is meaningless. Of course, Democrats know that. It's like making cotton candy.
What does Talbot have to do with Somerset?
Democrats claim: “Whatever is going on in Somerset will also threaten Talbot,” or something along those lines. Drawing parallels based on irrelevant or by making assumptions is what they do.
It comes down to desperation.
The 1776 PAC supports conservative candidates who oppose political indoctrination and believe in parental rights, safe and secure schools, fiscal transparency, improving educational standards, promoting transparency, and reversing pandemic‑related learning loss. The 1776 PAC is nothing like the biased descriptions generated by Google or AI queries that rely on liberal analyses.
Democrats have PACs that support liberal candidates as well. ACTBlue channels funds, along with other Democrat PACs like the teachers' union. There is nothing unusual here, as they do the same thing to support their candidates. We commonly see this on the financial reports of candidates.
The graphic also states "It (1776 PAC) often backs the same candidates as Moms for Liberty."
One thing we can say with absolute certainty is that the 1776 PAC has little to do with anything after officials are elected. Moms for Liberty and the 1776 Project PAC are two separate conservative organizations that are not affiliated, even if they share similar views. The same goes for the Delmarva Parent Teacher Coalition, which may also share similar views.
Do the Democrats celebrate when they are endorsed by PACs that have the same or similar views? Of course they do!
Emily Jackson for Talbot County BOE celebrates her endorsement and believes that she's "Teacher Recommended." This is the endorsement slogan by the MSEA’s Fund for Children and Public Education PAC.
"Teacher Recommended" is deceptive, because not all teachers are members of the teachers' union, or do they share the same liberal views. Not all teachers recommend her. But she says they do. Does she think she owns them?
Why are Democrats so scared?
Democrat fundraising groups and super PACs face a financial deficit compared to Republicans ahead of the 2026 midterms.
Cash‑on‑Hand: Republican committees and caucus‑aligned super PACs report nearly double the cash reserves of Democrat groups.
RNC vs. DNC: The Republican National Committee held over $130 million compared to the DNC’s roughly $16 million mid‑year.
Donor Friction: There is a growing frustration among some Democrat donors regarding the leadership direction and the socialist-communist agenda of their party.
The Democrats are obviously jealous and scared. All they can do is fabricate lies and spin at this point, just hoping that something sticks to the wall. With just weeks until the general election, this is what they always do. It’s no surprise.
If you are a Maryland voter who recognizes the absence of integrity in what your party is doing, you can switch your political party before the election.
