General Assembly Voted 17-1 to Rescind Statewide School Mask Mandate

ANNAPOLIS, Maryland – The school mask mandate is ending.



The Joint Committee on Administrative, Executive, and Legislative Review (AELR) of the Maryland General Assembly voted on Friday, February 25, 2022 to rescind the state-wide mask mandate for schools. Approved in a 17 to 1 vote, county school districts will now have the choice of lifting the requirement locally.
