A new audit by the Maryland Office of Legislative Audits has identified procurement concerns, lapses in required employee screenings, and ongoing oversight weaknesses within Worcester County Public Schools. The performance audit, dated Feb. 23, 2026, reviewed financial management practices and internal controls.
